We visited the 9/11 Memorial, the official memorial for those killed in the terrorist attacks in the United States on September 11, 2001. Where the two towers of the World Trade Center once stood is now twin vast reflecting pools, surrounded by bronze walls inscribed with the names of those who lost their lives. At this place of quiet reflection, I found myself thinking about the tragedy of the past and the wars that continue to be waged even today.
