Stop at Honolulu (O’ahu)

Nov 13, 2017

We arrived at the final port of this voyage, and head straight to the famous Waikiki Beach.

By the sea stands a statue of Duke Kahanamoku, the Hawai’ian hero and father of modern day surfing.

Approaching Diamond Head we are overwhelmed by the size. The view of city and nature from the top takes our breath away.

Iolani Palace, home to a statue of King Kamehameha, the first King of the Hawai’ian Kingdom, is a must see cultural sight.

On our way back to the port we call in at Aloha Tower. From the observatory we can see our home for the past three months, the Ocean Dream. After calling at 23 ports around the world, we finally set sail for Yokohama.
