The ship arrived at Rapa Nui (Easter Island), isolated in the middle of the ocean and a place many onboard had been looking forward to visiting. Since large passenger ships cannot dock on the island, we anchored offshore and took tender boats to the shore. Easter Island is rich in attractions, including Ahu Tongariki with its 15 Moai statues, the seated Moai, and the Moai factory ‘Rano Raraku’. The island is home to approximately 900 Moai statues.
