Guest educator Tanja M. Ísleifsdóttir Magnúsdóttir is a co-founder of the Icelandic NGO “Öfgar,” which is dedicated to eliminating gender-based violence. Through her passionate efforts in her home country, she is working to bring about lasting change. Her talks onboard offered a powerful opportunity to reflect on the universal nature of gender issues around the world and to consider what each of us can do—wherever we live—to help build a more just and equitable society.
