Gender identities and sexual orientations are not limited to just “male” or “female”—there are many different ways of being.

At an onboard event entitled “Let’s start by learning—so we can build a society where we respect one another,” participants were introduced to the diversity of gender and sexuality. Terms like “LGBTQ+”—a now more commonly heard umbrella term referring to sexual and gender minorities—were used to help explain the many ways people experience and express their identities.
