On the deck at night, a Stargazing Event was held, led by Ozeki Takaaki, Guest Educator and representative of the Kansai Mobile Planetarium. Guests gazed at the twinkling stars above while listening to his commentary. Compared to the Northern Hemisphere at the start of the cruise, in the Southern Hemisphere where we are now sailing, the positions and orientations of the constellations appear reversed. As we admired the unusual arrangement of stars and the wonders of the night sky, we enjoyed a “natural planetarium” on the open sea.
