Report on the Study Tour on Landmines in Cambodia

Peace Boat offers optional tours that allow passengers to learn about social and historical issues at the various ports of call. During this voyage, a group of participants disembarked in Singapore and traveled by air to Cambodia. Some of those who attended held an event to report back about what they learned about the ongoing issue of landmines during this tour, even 30 years after the end of the war in Cambodia. During the five-day tour, participants visited organizations that support landmine victims, and had the opportunity to hear directly from people involved in landmine removal. The event was an opportunity for participants to share first-hand their experiences and learning with others onboard.
