As night falls, the city of Cusco is illuminated, taking on a solemn and majestic atmosphere quite different from that of the daytime. The area around the Plaza de Armas, at the heart of the city, is especially enchanting, with centuries-old buildings appearing to emerge from the pitch-black night sky. Combined with the lights of homes scattered across the mountain slopes rising behind the city, Cusco as a whole revealed a jewel-like panorama, as if the entire city were a treasure box of light.
