It has been two years since the attacks on Gaza began on October 7, 2023. As the situation continues with no end in sight and countless civilians have lost their lives, U.S. President Donald Trump presented a peace plan aimed at bringing the conflict to an end. Based on this proposal, indirect negotiations between Hamas and Israel took place, and a ceasefire was agreed upon on the 10th of this month.

This lecture welcomed political scientist and Guest Educator Takahashi Kazuo to look back on the international community’s efforts to end the Gaza conflict and to discuss future prospects.
