The beautiful handicraft, “mola”

In Panama, we also encountered beautiful handicrafts born from delicate, skillful handwork. One such craft is the mola, created by the indigenous Kuna people. These stunning textile pieces are also used in their traditional clothing. Made by layering several pieces of cloth and stitching colorful designs as if drawing with thread, molas make perfect souvenirs. Since each has a unique design, we enjoyed the process of choosing, and now looking forward to bringing home a beautiful mola as a keepsake.
