Call to Port Louis (Mauritius)
After sailing south across the Indian Ocean, the ship arrived at Port Louis, the capital of the island nation of Mauritius. Once a thriving sugar export port, it has a history of many migrant laborers from Africa and India during the colonial era. Today, it remains a culturally rich port of call where people of diverse backgrounds coexist. Visitors were able to experience not only the beautiful ocean but also the diverse culture shaped by this history.
