Call to the port of Cristóbal (Panama)
We called at Cristóbal, a port town on the Caribbean side of Panama in Central America. We joined a tour to visit a community of the Indigenous Emberá people. After traveling by boat through the jungle, were warmly welcomed upon arrival by the Emberá, dressed in their colorful traditional clothing. They performed music on traditional instruments and danced for us, and at one point, we joined in the dancing together. The joyful time we shared with people whose environment and culture are so different from our own became an unforgettable memory.
