NGO Peace Boat established the “Travel and Peace” Essay Award to support young people eager to learn about the world through travel and contribute to shaping the future of the international community. The grand prize winner is awarded a ticket for a Peace Boat global voyage. On this day, a talk event was held featuring Ido Shizuki, winner of the 16th Travel and Peace Essay Award. Ms. Ido spoke about her award-winning work, her journey thus far, and how her thoughts on “peace” have continued to deepen while she is now in the midst of this great voyage around the world. Including her future aspirations, the event became a rich and inspiring occasion that left us looking forward to Ms. Ido’s continued success.
