Having reached the African continent, the Pacific World called at the scenic port city of Port Elizabeth on South Africa’s Indian Ocean coast. Just outside the city lie numerous national parks and wildlife reserves, home to a rich variety of wild animals, and we headed there without delay. Traveling through the vast reserve in a four-wheel-drive vehicle alongside our guide, we encountered one wild animal after another right before our eyes. Lions, giraffes, rhinos, elephants, and buffalo roamed freely across the land, their sheer power and presence truly overwhelming. Witnessing these magnificent animals thriving in the great wilderness became an unforgettable highlight of the journey.
