Mexican art

Mexico is a country of many captivating works of art, including murals that convey an overwhelming sense of power, as if the energy of society and its people had taken physical form, as well as paintings that boldly combine vivid colors. This lecture introduced works by some of Mexico’s most representative artists, including the murals of Siqueiros and Orozco, central figures in the mural movement that emerged in the early 20th century, as well as the internationally renowned painter Frida Kahlo and architect Luis Barragán.
