The Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) in 2017 in recognition of our work “to draw attention to the catastrophic humanitarian consequences of any use of nuclear weapons” and our “ground-breaking efforts to achieve a treaty-based prohibition of such weapons”. Peace Boat is one of the members.

It is an honor that we can sail around the world with the medal of the Nobel Peace Prize and take pictures with the medal in the middle of the ocean. We share our joy and promote our message of the importance of a nuclear-free world.
