Anna Marie Sewell, author, and member of Canada’s Listuguj Mi’gmaq First Nation, spoke about the relationship between Thanksgiving, which is celebrated on a large scale every year in Canada, and the indigenous people of Canada. For many in the audience from Asia, this was a first introduction to customs including dishes and how people spend this time together in Canada.
