Celebrating Nihon Hidankyo’s Nobel Peace Prize

Nihon Hidankyo (the Japan Confederation of A- and H-Bomb Sufferers Organizations), which has worked toward nuclear abolition for many years, received this year’s Nobel Peace Prize. An event was held onboard to highlight the activities of Nihon Hidankyo, and Peace Boat’s collaboration as part of the “Global Voyage for a Nuclear Free World: Peace Boat Hibakusha Project,” working with atomic bomb survivors from Hiroshima and Nagasaki toward abolishing nuclear weapons.
