While docked in Rio de Janeiro, we attended the Rio Carnival—undoubtedly the highlight event of our stay. True to its reputation as one of the world’s largest festivals, the venue was filled with electrifying performances and contagious energy. The lavish floats—said to take an entire year to prepare—along with dazzling costumes, dynamic dancers, and powerful percussion ensembles made every single moment a spectacle to behold. The resonating rhythms were so intense they seemed to move the very bodies of the crowd as well. The passion and scale of the Carnival far exceeded even our high expectations, becoming a truly unforgettable highlight of the journey.
