Save the ocean of Mauritius

The island nation of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean, where we will soon be calling, is widely known as the “Paradise of the Indian Ocean,” where beautiful seas and rich nature thrive. However, in recent years, rising sea temperatures caused by climate change have had serious impacts, including the decline of coral reefs surrounding the island. In this lecture, Tashika Kalloo, a marine biologist from Mauritius, introduced initiatives such as coral planting and water purification projects to protect the island’s clear waters. This provided an opportunity to learn about various efforts to preserve this beautiful marine environment for future generations.
