The Pacific World called at Tenerife, the largest of Spain’s Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean. Located closer to the African continent than mainland Spain, the island has developed a unique culture shaped by diverse influences. During the port call, many passengers visited the national park home to Mount Teide—Spain’s highest peak and a symbolic landmark of the island—enjoying the distinctive natural landscapes nurtured by its warm climate.
