Cruise Report

This year marks 43 years since Peace Boat’s first every cruise, which set sail on September 2, 1983. To commemorate this milestone, the ship hosted an onboard lecture and exhibition that looked back on the organization’s long history and showcased its numerous initiatives. Also on display was the medal which Peace Boat received as an International Steering Group member of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN), following its receipt of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2017. This provided an opportunity for many people to learn about the history of Peace Boat and its voyages.
