Onboard Guerst Educator Coco Tirao, who serves as the president of Ahutoru Nui, a leading professional Tahitian dance groups, also designs dance costumes and choreographs performances. In this lecture, he introduced the different types of Tahitian dance costumes and demonstrated the unique steps through videos and live performances. Many of these elements are closely connected to Tahiti’s natural environment, which we will soon visit, making this a valuable opportunity to learn about Maohi Nui culture and history.
