We visited the historic city of Antigua, nestled in the highlands of Guatemala, where beautiful Spanish Baroque architecture and numerous colonial-era church ruins have been preserved. Once the capital of Guatemala and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Antigua is renowned for its charming colonial streetscape. Strolling through its picturesque streets and taking in the iconic view of Volcán de Agua from a hill crowned by a towering cross allowed us to experience some of the city’s most memorable and breathtaking scenery.
