Time Adjustment on Cruises
On a cruise trip, the time difference is adjusted in one-hour intervals until arrival in order to adjust to the time at the next port of call. Unlike air travel, this gradual adjustment allows you to spend each day comfortably without getting jet-lagged. On Peace Boat cruises, the time is set back one hour at 24:00 (for westbound routes), so some people say they feel like they gain an hour on time-difference days.
