To the Temple of the Sun ‘Coricancha’
We visited the Temple of the Sun, `Coricancha,* in Cusco – the capital of the Inca Empire. This is said to have been the most sacred and important place for the Incas, and the interior was filled with golden statues and decorations. The endless sky makes you imagine what the temple must have been like in its heyday.
