Experiencing the Indigenous Kuna Culture
In Cristobal, we also had the opportunity to experience the culture of the Indigenous Kuna people through an optional tour. The women of the Kuna community have preserved their ancestral traditions by sewing and wearing the beautiful handicrafts called “Mola,” unique to their community. On this tour, we even had the chance to try making Mola ourselves. Through this experience we learned about the history and culture that the Kuna people have passed down, as an opportunity to deepen our understanding and connections.
