What Is Pride Month?
Every year, June is recognized as Pride Month — a time to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and to promote a fair and equal society free from discrimination and prejudice. On this day, various events took place, including an introduction to the Pride Parade held in New York, a city visited during this voyage, basic knowledge about LGBTQ+ identities, and examples of actions taken by individuals and companies to help shift social awareness. This was a meaningful timing to reflect on how we can build a society that respects and embraces diversity.
