Call to Punta Arenas, Chile.

We made a stop in Punta Arenas, a port town at the southern tip of Chile, a country which stretches long and narrow from north to south and faces the Strait of Magellan, connecting the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. This historic strait, traversed by the navigator Magellan on his way to the Pacific, is said to have “changed world history.” The town overlooking the strait is filled with simple, warm streets. Amid the strong winds typical of the Patagonia region, we explored Punta Arenas’ historical landmarks and soaked in the charming atmosphere of this scenic port town.
