The day after calling at Santos, the ship made its way to the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro. Known as one of the world’s three most beautiful natural harbors, Rio boasts a World Heritage landscape, cheerful and welcoming people, and the world-famous Carnival season. Our excitement naturally grew as we wondered how much of the city we could enjoy during our three-day stay. First, we headed to a stadium in this soccer-loving nation to watch an authentic Brazilian match. Surrounded by passionate local supporters, we enjoyed an intense and thrilling game, fully experiencing Brazil’s incredible soccer spirit!
