Enjoying Norwegian cuisine

One of the joys of strolling through a city while travelling is discovering local specialties made with fresh, regional ingredients. At Bergen’s harbor—where an abundance of fresh seafood is landed—you’ll find the historic Fish Market, bustling with visitors for over 730 years. For lunch, we enjoyed dishes featuring the local specialties of grilled salmon and shrimp. The simple yet profound flavors highlight the natural taste of the ingredients, and make for a memorable meal. Even though the journey may be fleeting, we fully experienced the many charms of the Nordic region here in Bergen.
