Call to Cristobal, Panama

The Pacific World called at Cristobal, the gateway to the Caribbean side of Panama in Central America. On this day, we ventured a little farther from the port and visited the historic Old Town area of Panama City, the nation’s capital. The beautiful streetscape, which still retains strong traces of the Spanish colonial era, is registered as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site and becomes even more atmospheric as the sun sets. We wandered through charming streets lined with cobblestone alleys and wrought-iron balconies, bought colorful souvenirs, and fully enjoyed our time traveling in Panama.
