Call to Reykjavik, Iceland

Pacific World called at Reykjavik, the capital of the Nordic island nation of Iceland. The country is renowned for its extraordinary natural wonders, including glaciers, volcanoes, and dramatic landscapes shaped by tectonic activity. One of Iceland’s most iconic destinations is the area known as the Golden Circle. There, visitors can experience Gullfoss, one of the country’s most famous waterfalls, where up to 140 tons of glacial meltwater cascade every second. The thunderous roar of the falls and the stark, rugged surroundings create a breathtaking spectacle. The powerful flow of the waterfall, seemingly alive as it plunges into the canyon below, offers a vivid reminder of the Earth’s enduring natural forces.
