Kirstin, Abbey and Erin demonstrated how to do Polka
GET teachers Erin and Abbey taught a Polka class on board. Erin is Polish-American. Her grandparents moved to the United States from Poland a long time ago. Therefore, her grandmother taught her how to do the polka. Polka is a kind of traditional dance in Poland and Polish people will usually do it at summer festivals in churches, or in weddings or bars. This dance needs to be done with a special kind of music called “Flying Dutchman”. People dance in a circle of two or three. They usually have live music. The speed of music gets faster and faster. After dancing, they have a cup of beer together!
