[99th Cruise Report]First Live Performance by Illay

Nov.10th

Musical group Illay, which means “bright” or “luminous” in Quechua, held their first live performance onboard! The crowd goes wild for the performance using traditional South American instruments such as the quena, sampoña, bombo legüero, and charango.

Everyone enjoyed the show, and at the end many exclaimed, “It was a fantastic performance!” One participant commented, “I was surprised that they used so many different instruments. I can’t wait for the next performance.” Illay is planning on hosting more performances and workshops while onboard. We are all excited to see what they have in store next.
