Today in the restaurant was a special cooking class hosted by none other than the head chef of the Ocean Dream, Chef Ishikawa. Today passengers made Apple Strudel, an Austrian dish commonly made at home. Around 20 passengers booked in advance to take part, and everyone carefully listened to his instructions, watched the movements of his hands, and the order in which he did things. The recipe didn’t involve any complicated ingredients, and used only items and processes that everyone will be able to do themselves at home. He taught all the tricks and techniques, including which way to hold an apple, and how to make use of the peel. After finishing, people were able to taste the fruit of their labours, and everyone left satisfied with full minds and full stomachs.
