During our Peace Boat voyage, all kinds of “Culture Schools” are being held. Though these programs , such as Tai Chi, Social Dance, Yoga, and Japanese Taiko Drums, one can learn and improve several skills by exercising and working on hobbies. Today, we visited one of the Culture Schools, Water Painting Class. The one teaching the class is Mrs. Kumiko. Each participant sketches pictures he or she took at past ports of call. Participants can keep on drawing without doubt since Mrs. Kumiko stands by their side watching and giving advices. They paint on white papers the memorable sceneries while talking about their memories at ports and having good time. Encountering beautiful sceneries and being able to relax and paint them in the middle of ocean—What a joyous time they have.
