[101st Cruise Report]Cruising through the Great Barrier Reef

July.20th

Today was one of the highlights of the 101st Voyage, sailing through the worlds largest coral reef, and UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, the Great Barrier Reef. To help guide us through the waters, a specialist pilot came onboard and from 8am we entered into the reef area.

Under the beautiful blue sky and with sunlight glittering off the sea, many passengers were lining the deck of the ship to watch the ocean go by. Enjoying the lovely weather and changing colours of the sea, some passengers even saw whales! Formed over the ages, the reef supports countless varieties of marine life and gives everyone the chance to truly appreciate how amazing the natural world is.
